Wild Boar Hunting

The wild boar (Sus scrofa) is the wild ancestor of the domestic pig. It is native across much of Central Europe, the Mediterranean Region (including North Africa's Atlas Mountains) and much of Asia as far south as Indonesia, and has been widely introduced elsewhere.

Open Season
1 January 30 April Hide, leeward hunting. Shooting of adult females is forbidden.
1 May 30 September Hide, leeward hunting evening and night time. Shooting of adult females is forbidden.
1 October 30 December Hide, leeward hunting, stalking, hunting with dogs (except hounds). Shooting of adult females is forbidden.
15 December 30 April Hide, still hunt from the tower. Shooting of adult females is forbidden.

The cost of the trophy killing of the wild boar with the tusks of 130 mm and over is priced based on the size of the tusks:
130 – 139 mm 250 €

+ 2 for each 1 mm over 130 mm

140 – 159 mm 280 €

+ 5 or each 1 mm over 140 mm

160 – 189 mm 420 €

+ 7 or each 1 mm over 160 mm

190 – 199 mm 595 €

+ 8 for each 1 mm over 190 mm

The cost of the killing of young, the boar with the tusks less than 130 mm is priced based on the dressed (gutted) weight of the animal:
